The Share Button, in partnership with TurnUp Clothing & Events are proud to present a first-of-its-kind Rooftop Chillas Market, coming to the Dorkay House in Eloff Street, Johannesburg on Saturday, 30th of October 2021.
The event aims to bring artists together under one roof where they can create support networks and collaborate with new customers. “The event will serve as a platform for upcoming artists to showcase their offerings and network with other creatives in the entertainment industry. It is a great opportunity for artists who have been waiting for the lockdown restrictions to be eased down a bit, so they can get back on stage and perform for even bigger crowds.” says Karabo Masemola, founder of The Share Button.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic struck, artists and the creative community have been denied their livelihoods and unable to perform and showcase their crafts. Rooftop Chillas Market is a platform created to tackle these problems. This networking hub allows for collaborations in the arts, opening artists to more opportunities that would positively impact their lives. Although the artists will not be financially supported yet, rather, they will get a platform and chance to network, and for some to be “discovered”.
The event will showcase upcoming artists and treat audiences to performances by Ms Cosmo, Dj Vino, Nkanyezi, Mic Legends, Jst Moose, Wakithi, Sboza and many more.
Entrance is R100 (early bird) and general is R120. Doors open at 12pm.
