Food Spots: NAKED Coffee, Morningside

If you haven’t been to Naked, I suggest you get yourself there with the quickness if you love a good breakfast or brunch meal. I was invited by the Naked Coffee team to try out their newly incorporated deli menu at their branch in Morningside last week.
I walked into the cutest intimate space filled with some dope interior that is waiting to be captured. The Naked Coffee in Morningside is situated next to the Exclusive Books and one of the entrances of the shopping centre – making it convenient for those of us trying to get something to nibble on before we proceed with our shopping.
The coffee spot has a modernized look and feel that people will enjoy and brag about on the ‘gram. Enough about the interior though, let’s talk about their menu.
They have their usual breakfast/brunch menu that is expected from any coffee spot around South Africa but what differentiates them from their competitors, is their ever changing deli menu that customers have access to on a daily basis. Their deli menu is not consistent compared to their in-house menu but for people looking to try something new, this is your go-to menu.
What I appreciate most about this particular menu is that it caters to everyone including vegans, vegetarians and pescatarians. As a meat lover myself, I’ve always been skeptical about vegan/vegetarian dishes, but once I tasted the options that were available, I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! *chefs kiss*
I had a vegetarian pasta infused with brinjal and coupled with some hake and chicken fillet on the side (my combination made no sense but I thoroughly enjoyed it). I didn’t really explore their drinks menu but I’ll definitely pop by again and give you guys another review.
